Roman.
Friesian Stud Colt (Yearling)
Cow-hocked Hind Legs
Roman was purchased from a sale barn and quickly proved himself to be a brave, easygoing, and confident companion. He’s deeply loved and protected by the entire herd. Roman enjoys being brushed, loved on, and spending time socializing with people. His intelligence and calm nature make him a standout in the group.
Stormy.
12-Year-Old Belgium Draft Cross
Chronic heaves hinder weight gain
Stormy is a sweet and kind soul who carries some trust issues from his past. While much of his history is unknown, we do know he was once a dressage prospect before being diagnosed with heaves and ultimately donated to the rescue. These days, Stormy enjoys the simple pleasures—short trail rides around the barn, relaxing massages, and plenty of treats.
Steel.
8-Year-Old Iron Gray Quarter Horse
When we noticed discomfort in Steel’s trot, we worked closely with our farrier before turning to the vet for answers. He was diagnosed with sidebone and now wears special shoes to help keep him comfortable. Despite his condition, Steel remains a loving, handsome companion who enjoys trail rides, spending time with his pasture mates, and soaking up attention from people. He’s truly a pleasure to be around.
Eli.
12-Year-Old Palomino Paint
Ringtone in 3 legs
Eli was rescued from a kill buyer in Louisiana after being falsely advertised as 100% sound. While he now serves as a companion horse due to his physical limitations, he plays a vital role in the herd—helping raise colts, teaching them manners, and offering them protection. Eli is a gentle giant and a true love bug who thrives on attention and absolutely adores scratches and affection.
Chica.
13-Year-Old Tri-Colored Paint Pony
Chica is another brave case of severe heaves. She came to us from South Carolina, where the humidity was too harsh for her condition. Now thriving in a more suitable environment, she prefers grassy fields and the joyful noise of loud, playful children. A true saint of a pony, Chica instinctively knows how to care for the kids in her life. With her beautiful mane and the kindest eyes, she’s a treasured part of our herd.
